Reasons to Love Studio Brunstrum’s New Rug Collection

The founder of Studio Brunstrum, Susan Brunstrum is an award-winning interior designer for both residential and commercial clients. In her work, Susan Brunstrum collaborates with other artists, including Julie Dasher of Julie Dasher Rugs.

After years of working together to create custom rugs for clients, Ms. Brunstrum and Ms. Dasher collaborated to launch their first collection of handmade rugs. The collection was inspired by natural elements from the beaches of Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

The collection has four different rug lines: Eddies & Tide Pools, Vibrations, Sophisticated Splashes, and Camellia. The lines are available in 17 different colors and feature natural fabrics, such as wool and silk.

The rugs are made of the best wool in the world. All Julie Dasher rugs are made of Tibetan wool sourced from Himalayan sheep in Nepal. This wool is considered the best because of its texture, luster, and strength.

The wool is naturally renewable, harvested from sheep every year. When disposed of, the wool biodegrades into soil-enriching nutrients. The dye used on the wool is Swiss Ceiba, which is 100-percent eco-friendly. In addition, Julie Dasher Rugs donates a portion of its profits to the GoodWeave Foundation, which fights against child slavery and supports education in Nepal.
